Strawberry Crunch Rice Krispie Treats

A fun twist on classic Rice Krispie Treats with a vibrant strawberry flavor, made with freeze-dried strawberries, marshmallows, and crispy rice cereal. Perfect for parties or a sweet snack at home.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows divided (reserve 1 cup for mixing in later)
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries processed into powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 pinch salt optional, to balance sweetness

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter, cooking spray, or line with parchment paper.
  • In a large pot, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Add 9 ounces of mini marshmallows (reserve 1 cup) and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.
  • Remove the pot from heat and stir in the strawberry powder (made from 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries) and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until evenly combined.
  • Gently fold in 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal and the reserved 1 cup of mini marshmallows, being careful not to overmix.
  • Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and gently press down with a greased spatula or hands.
  • Let the treats cool completely, then cut into 12 squares and serve.

Notes

  • 1- Grease the pan well to avoid sticking.
  • 2- Use mini marshmallows for faster, even melting.
  • 3- Serve with ice cream for an extra treat.
