Ingredients

Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts

  • 2-3 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts trimmed of excess fat

Gravy Base

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup reduced-sodium preferred
  • 2 packets chicken gravy mix
  • 0.5 cup water or chicken broth to thin the gravy base

Instructions

Preparing The Chicken

  • Rinse the boneless, skinless chicken breasts and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, ensuring even coating.

Mixing The Gravy Base

  • In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, chicken gravy packets, and water or chicken broth until smooth. Pour the mixture into the bottom of the slow cooker.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned chicken breasts into the slow cooker, nestling them into the gravy mixture. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  • Once cooked, shred the chicken in the slow cooker and stir it into the gravy. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.

Notes

  • 1- Use cold ingredients for flakier biscuits.
  • 2- Taste the apple filling and adjust spices as needed.
  • 3- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
