Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice from about 4-6 lemons
  • 4 cups water divided

Instructions

Crafting the Peach Syrup

  • Wash the peaches, remove the pits, and chop them into chunks.
  • In a saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, 1 cup of water, and sugar. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the peaches are soft and the syrup thickens slightly.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a container, pressing on the solids to extract liquid. Let it cool.

Assembling the Lemonade

  • In a pitcher, combine the cooled peach syrup, fresh lemon juice, and 3 cups of water. Stir well.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more sugar or lemon juice to taste.
  • Chill in the refrigerator or serve immediately over ice.

Notes

  • 1- Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor.
  • 2- Adjust sugar and lemon juice to your taste preference.
  • 3- Garnish with peach slices or mint for an extra touch.
