Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch for coating

Sauce

  • 1 cup orange juice fresh squeezed preferred
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar or honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water for slurry
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chicken

  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and marinate with soy sauce, ginger, and garlic for at least 30 minutes.
  • Dredge chicken pieces in cornstarch until fully coated.

Cook the Chicken

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry chicken in batches until golden brown and crispy.

Make the Sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in cornstarch slurry and simmer until sauce thickens.

Combine and Serve

  • Toss crispy chicken in the sauce until evenly coated.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, then serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • 1- Use cold ingredients for flakier biscuits.
  • 2- Taste the apple filling and adjust spices as needed.
  • 3- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
