Ingredients

Ground Beef for Rich Flavor

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20 recommended

Pasta Choices

  • 8 oz pasta penne, fusilli, or rotini

Creamy Elements

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 salt to taste
  • 1 black pepper to taste
  • 1 onion finely diced

Instructions

Browning the Beef

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.

Incorporating Aromatics

  • Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook for 3-5 minutes until softened and fragrant, stirring to prevent burning.

Simmering

  • Stir in pasta, beef broth, heavy cream, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and sauce thickens.
  • Stir in butter and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

  • 1- Use a wooden spoon to break up the beef and stir gently to avoid sticking.
  • 2- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed during cooking.
  • 3- Serve warm with a side salad or crusty bread for a complete meal.
