This moist banana bread is easy to make and boasts a rich flavor, perfect for using up ripe bananas or satisfying a sweet craving.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 overripe bananas The riper, the better! They should be spotty and soft.
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup sugar Granulated or brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter Melted
  • 2 eggs Room temperature
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, mash the overripe bananas until smooth.
  • In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Add the mashed bananas and sour cream to the butter mixture and mix well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • 1- Use cold ingredients for flakier biscuits.
  • 2- Taste the apple filling and adjust spices as needed.
  • 3- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
