Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 0.75 cup sugar or natural sweetener like agave

Flavor Variations

  • 1 tsp cinnamon for chocolate cinnamon flavor
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder for chocolate cinnamon flavor
  • 1 cup mango puree for mango sorbet, replace dairy with this
  • 1 cup coconut milk for creamy coconut flavor, replace whole milk

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  • For chocolate cinnamon flavor, add cocoa powder and cinnamon to the mixture. Stir until fully incorporated.

Chilling and Churning

  • Remove from heat and let the mixture cool completely. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for an additional 4 hours to harden.

Notes

  • 1- Use cold ingredients and chill equipment for a smoother texture.
  • 2- Adjust sweetness or spices to taste before churning.
  • 3- Serve with toppings like fresh fruit or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
