  • 8 ounce mozzarella cheese preferably ciliegine or bocconcini, drained and patted dry

Essential Herbs And Spices

  • 2 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 2 clove garlic minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste

The Role Of Olive Oil

  • 0.5 cup extra-virgin olive oil

Mixing The Marinade

  • In a medium-sized bowl, pour in the extra-virgin olive oil.
  • Add the chopped fresh basil, parsley, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Whisk until well combined.

Coating The Cheese

Refrigeration Time

  • Cover the bowl or transfer to a jar with a tight-fitting lid. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, preferably overnight, stirring occasionally.
  • Before serving, let the marinated mozzarella sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes.
