Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries rinsed and dried if fresh
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar light or dark, adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice adjust to taste
  • 0.5 cup butter softened, for compound butter variation

Instructions
 

Prepare Ingredients

  • Gather blueberries, brown sugar, lemon juice, and butter. Rinse and dry fresh blueberries or use frozen ones as is.

Cook in Crockpot

  • Add blueberries, brown sugar, and lemon juice to the crockpot. Stir to coat blueberries evenly. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Blend and Thicken

  • Use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth or desired consistency. Cook uncovered for an additional hour to thicken.

Notes

  • 1- Use high-quality blueberries for the best flavor.
  • 2- Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
  • 3- Serve on toast, pancakes, or as a dessert topping for an extra treat.
