Ingredients
  

Popcorn Base

  • 8 cups popped popcorn Air-popped or plain microwave popcorn, remove unpopped kernels

Candy Coating

  • 12 ounces candy melts Choose your favorite colors
  • 1-2 teaspoons edible glow powder Must be labeled edible and UV-reactive
  • 2 tablespoons butter Melted, optional for richness
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Optional for extra sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional for added flavor

Instructions
 

Prepare the Popcorn

  • Pop 8 cups of popcorn using an air popper or microwave. Remove any unpopped kernels and place the popcorn in a large mixing bowl.

Melt the Candy Coating

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 12 ounces of candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler. Stir in 1-2 teaspoons of edible glow powder, 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional), 1 tablespoon sugar (optional), and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional).

Coat the Popcorn

  • Pour the melted candy mixture over the popcorn and gently toss with a spatula until all kernels are evenly coated.

Shape and Set

  • Lightly grease your hands with butter or cooking spray. Grab handfuls of coated popcorn and shape into balls. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. For best glow, serve under a black light in a dark room. Customize with different candy melt colors or toppings like sprinkles or mini marshmallows.
