Ingredients

  • 1 cup long-grain rice uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can condensed French onion soup 10.5 oz
  • 4 tablespoons butter cut into small pats

Instructions

Prepping the Rice Base

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spray an 8x8 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Evenly spread 1 cup of uncooked long-grain rice across the bottom of the dish.

Adding the Flavorful Liquids

  • Pour 2 cups of beef broth evenly over the rice. Add 1 can (10.5 oz) of condensed French onion soup, spreading it evenly over the rice and broth.

Layering with Butter for Richness

  • Cut 4 tablespoons of butter into small pats and arrange them evenly over the rice and liquid mixture.

Baking to Perfection

  • Tightly cover the baking dish with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the liquid is absorbed. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.

Notes

  • 1- Use cold butter for a richer flavor.
  • 2- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper after baking if needed.
  • 3- Serve warm with fresh parsley for a burst of freshness.
