Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups high-quality flour
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.25 cups warm water
  • 0.25 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey optional

Toppings

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, and optional honey. Add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
  • Knead the dough lightly until soft and slightly sticky, adjusting with water or flour as needed.

Let the Dough Rise

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel. Let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape and Top

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Generously oil a baking sheet and stretch the dough onto it, pressing to create dimples.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the dough and add toppings like cherry tomatoes, rosemary, and sea salt.

Bake

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the bottom. Let cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

  • Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Allow enough time for the dough to rise for optimal texture.
  • Experiment with different toppings to find your favorite combinations.
