Ingredients

  • 2 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes sliced into ¼ inch thick pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste

Instructions

  • Wash and scrub the potatoes under cold water. Slice them into ¼ inch thick pieces using a knife or mandoline for uniform slices.
  • Optional: Soak the potato slices in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then pat dry thoroughly.
  • In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt until evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding (cook in batches if necessary).
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce or as a side dish.

Notes

  • 1- Use a mandoline for consistent slicing to ensure even cooking.
  • 2- Experiment with seasonings like smoked paprika or cumin for variety.
  • 3- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days and reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-5 minutes.
