Ingredients
  

Layer 1: Refried Beans

  • 1 can refried beans Season with cumin, chili powder, or taco seasoning; warm slightly for easier spreading

Layer 2: Guacamole

  • 2 ripe avocados Mashed with lime juice, diced onion, cilantro, salt, and pepper

Layer 3: Sour Cream

  • 1 cup sour cream Full-fat recommended; optional taco seasoning or chopped jalapeños

Layer 4: Salsa

  • 1 cup salsa Drain excess liquid; choose mild, medium, or hot

Layer 5: Cheddar Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp or mild, or a cheddar Jack blend

Layer 6: Pickled Jalapeños

  • 0.25 cup pickled jalapeños Drained and chopped; adjust to taste

Layer 7: Green Onions & Cilantro

  • 0.25 cup green onions Thinly sliced
  • 0.25 cup cilantro Freshly chopped

Instructions
 

  • Spread the seasoned refried beans evenly in the bottom of a serving dish.
  • Mash the avocados with lime juice, onion, cilantro, salt, and pepper to make guacamole, then layer it over the beans.
  • Spread the sour cream evenly over the guacamole, adding optional seasonings if desired.
  • Spoon the drained salsa over the sour cream, ensuring an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the salsa.
  • Scatter the chopped pickled jalapeños over the cheese, adjusting the amount to taste.
  • Finish with a generous sprinkle of green onions and cilantro on top.

Notes

  • 1- Use cold ingredients for flakier biscuits.
  • 2- Taste the apple filling and adjust spices as needed.
  • 3- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
